Our experience and observations showed that a large number of deprived and underprivileged children is living on the streets of Jaipur in adverse conditions and they need a proper shelter and counseling services so they could share their problems and experiences with us.

After assessing the seriousness and degree of the exploitation happening with these children regularly in the streets, TAABAR Society planned to initiate a small home for street children.

The idea of starting this type of Home was given a formal shape after working in adverse condition with street children in and around the Jaipur Railway Station.

Our idea was equally acknowledged and supported by Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC). In this unique initiative JMC come forward to provide us a suitable space for running 'BAL BASERA' - A Home for Street Children in the pink city. Infact this is a model of Public Private Partnership (PPP) Project for others to follow. This Home is situated just next to Jaipur Railway Station and primarily functions as a Transit Home for boys. At present this home is providing and facilitating support to 15 street children at a time. 'BAL BASERA' Transit Home is a short stay home for children on the streets.
