On the occasion of AIDS INTERNATIONL DAY, various programmes were organized by TAABAR SOCIETY. Children of BAL BASERA participated in various activities. Muskaan team played a Nukkad Natak "RAJA KA SAMAJHDAR MANTRI" at the main entrance of Jaipur Railway Station to disseminate the information that prevention and awareness is the cure of AIDS. Children also gave messages through balloons.
In March 2009 Ms Clarissa visited BAL BASERA and spent two days with the children by giving them Yoga training along with the staff of TAABAR. Now the training has become a part of the daily routine of these children and helping them to control their body, brain and emotions. This training keeps them fit.
The same month followed with a friendly cricket match organized by our President Mrs. Timmie Kumar on the ground of Hotel Clarks Amer. After the match, a prize distribution ceremony was held and the children of TAABAR were awarded for their sporting performance. The event came to an end with a delicious lunch which made the children's day happier and feel wholesome.
New Year was celebrated with the celebration of kite festival in the month of January 2009 at BAL BASERA. They learnt making kites and enjoyed the moments with great excitement and enthusiasm.
To bring out their creativity with the fun and entertainment an activity of making greeting cards was organized with the help of our volunteers. Children made festival and New Year greetings under the guidance of our volunteers. A photographic calendar was prepared for the year of 2009 which was featured on street children.
During the month of November 2008 children participated in a youth festival at Jawahar Kala Kendra. They performed a dance number with the student of St. Anslems School.
In the same month an association of new volunteers was formed with the help of Teach India Programme started by Times of India. The prime objective of the association was to help and support the TAABAR.
Before Diwali festival Mrs Prabha Kishore visited BAL BASERA along with 100 students. She brought clothes, sweets, stationary, toys, candles and many more useful items for the children Diwali festival was celebrated by the children with lots of sweets, they put on new clothes, and played with crackers
In the month of October a garden area was gifted to the children for playing, exercising, relaxing which is full of nature's bounty. An inauguration ceremony was held at BAL BASERA. Mrs. Shruti Bhardwaj (head-Quarter Commissioner) was the chief guest of the programme. All the honorable members and volunteers were present and took a site of this pleasant moment. This ceremony was followed with the cultural programmes by the children.
The excitement of the arrivals of festivals like Holi, Dussera, Diwali, Eid, could be seen in the activities of the children of TAABAR. Beautiful Rakhis were made by the children for Raksha Bandhan festival. Independence day was also celebrated wich was followed with cultural programme prepared by the children of TAABAR.
In the month of May, 2008 many young volunteers joined us and showed their interest in volunteering services to help and support the children in every possible way.
In the month of April, 2008, Miss Afghanistan visited BAL BASERA and she invites the children to watch the cricket match. Tickets were sponsored by Ms Afghanistan. The day was full of excitement for the children as they went to watch IPL Match at SMS Stadium, Jaipur.
The same month was followed by the visit of Mr. Sunil Arora, (Chief Secretary to chief Minister), who met all the children residing at BAL BASERA and promised to provide support to the organization. During his visits children performed a dance number on the song of famous film "TAARE ZAMIN PAR" which was highly appreciated by the guests.
