I would never like to remember the days, which I spent at railway Station. I am very fortunate that I came across with Vikesh Bhaiya, who brought me at BAAL BASERA. Now I am very happy because all the people take care of us, we get nutritious food, education and other necessary things to lead a good life. I am very happy that my life is going on a right way. Sometimes, I am scared to think; what happens to me, if I were at railway station..... I want to convey my thanks to TAABAR, who gave me a good life with all care and protection.

Harishankar, 15 Years Old, From Bihar
My name is Sehdev, I am eleven years old. I lost my father in early childhood. My second father always scolded and beat me so I run away from home without knowing where I have to go. I reached Jaipur railway station, where I started begging for survival. Fortunately I came across with TAABAR worker. When they approached me, I was not in favour of joining BAL BASERA. As I thought either they would give me to police or send back to my home, where, I did not want to go back. But they took me BAL BASERA where I met other children like me. Thus I came to BAL BASERA, where, I got care and protection. They started my education, provided everything. Here, I got superb treatment, and knew the meaning of home. Now I am learning lots of skills to fit in the life again. I want to get education so that I could be independent like other children in the society. Thanks to Ramesh Sir and TAABAR family, to bring me into life

I left my house and came to Jaipur because I was not interested in studies, where I was found by TAABAR. With love, care and attention of TAABAR family, I developed my interest in studies and began to take interest in other activities. Now I am learning Mehandi and Stitching. I like participating in cultural activities and enjoy the dance and theatre classes.

I left my home due to ill treatment of my big brother. I reached Jodhpur railway station, where my life had become miserable. I was totally depressed but TAABAR gave me support and provided an opportunity to live a better life. I am very thankful to TAABAR. I want to do something in my life to lead a pleasant life.

I have a different story. I was brought to Jaipur for child labour, by my neighbour where I worked in a Sari factory. I used to punish for little mistakes. At last due to fear of beating, I left that work-place and came to Jaipur railway station, where I worked on a tea stalls, sold water bottles, but I found that exploitation was every where. Senior boys forced to do their job and took my money. Fortunately in this worst situation I came to BAL BASERA. Here I find myself safe and feel confident. Now I am studying, and learning life skills along with vocational training.
